Foreword Day: encounter with the metaverse
On 29 June 2022 Summa Branding and Liquid Lab held the first edition of the “Foreword Day: Brands on the digital age”, a conference focused on the role of brands in the metaverse and discovering the opportunities that will arise in the coming years in the digital world.
The event, held at the Esferic in Barcelona, was attended by more than 40 companies from the main industrial and service sectors. Attendees discovered the latest trends and the most immediate changes that will occur on the Internet in the coming months. They also learned about how to introduce all this new digital culture – NFTs, blockchain, cryptocurrencies and avatars – in their companies in order to be leaders and pioneers in their fields.
The welcome address was given by Conrad Llorens, president of Summa Branding, who highlighted the importance of a day such as Foreword Day, so that companies can anticipate the needs of the future and thus develop new products and lines of business that improve their customers’ experience.
Ready for the 4th digital revolution?
The round of presentations began with Aleix Valls, CEO and founder of Liquid Lab, who focused on the digital evolution we have experienced up to now and the challenges that the 4th Industrial Revolution, “the digital revolution”, is posing for the rules and the conception of the economic systems of countries, companies and consumers. According to Aleix Valls: “We are at a historic moment that represents the change towards a new step for humanity, just as was the use of the wheel or the invention of the printing press”.
The day continued with a presentation by Aleix Gabarre, head of Knowledge & Trends at Summa Branding, who spoke about the importance of brand identity and its transformation in the digital world. He also addressed the need for brands to be real in this new dimension, both in the way they are and in the way they relate to their audiences.
In addition, Rafa Soto, Summa Branding’s head of Creative & Experience, explained about the different consumer profiles that can be found in the digital world, and how they are changing brand narratives. This new context has changed the way companies and products transmit their messages, leading them to create entertaining content without forgetting the main objective, to inform.
A very real virtual experience
After a networking lunch, attendees were able to enjoy a unique experience in the digital world thanks to the company Xperiencia Virtual. Through virtual reality, they could feel what it’s like to be in the metaverse dimension.
At the same time, the speakers took part in an open discussion with some of the companies attending the conference, reflecting on how their strategy could be in the metaverse.
